a12 We are looking at the Southeast corner of the great room/conseratory, now occupied by a sunny food preparation and kitchen social zone in the mountains of Southern Costa Rica.
We are looking at the Southeast corner of the great room/conservatory. Many famous architects have stressed locating a kitchen at this corner to capture early morning light. In the Costa Rican tradition, we like to get up before dawn, make coffee at first light and sip it while watching sunlight bring the space to life. At such a time, all manner of birds are singing on all sides. We share their obvious joy at being alive. Special Note: These windows were made long ago by a master craftsman to the very highest standard. as woodworkers ourselves, we truly adore the workmanship. They are in perfect condition and newly painted inside and out to a marine standard (as is the entire house).
